In April this year, Dylan Jones, a friend of ours was involved in a road traffic accident on the island of Koh Chang.
As a result, he suffered serious injuries and had to be airlifted to a hospital in Bangkok, where, we are pleased to say, through the love and support of his family and friends, he is making a steady recovery.

Through his work as a teacher at Patana school, his involvement with the GAA, his golfing friends at The St David’s ,St Andrews and St Patrick’s societies and his passion for all things Welsh, Dylan has a lot of friends in Bangkok.

We therefore thought, and as Dylan is a keen golfer, to arrange a golf day in his honour, not just to raise some much needed funds for what will be a long and protracted process of recovery, but mainly for him to know how much love and support there is for him out there.

But the day is all about Dylan.
It’s not about golf and the intention is to have fun.
We hope to have as many teams of 5 as we can, playing Texas Scramble, which is a good and fast format that is ideal for players of all standards.

Once the golf is done, the plan is to then head to O’Shea’s, a bar on Sukhumvit 33/1 for an evening of live music and semi-organized chaos. Everyone is welcome, please come show your support whether you will play golf or not. There will be a raffle on the night with plenty of prizes to be won.

For all those unable to attend who might still wish to contribute, it will be possible to sponsor individual golfers or teams, as well as just making a donation to the event.
