Irish Citizens Looking to Fly Home – Important Flight Information 2nd April 2020
April 2, 2020 @ 3:00 pm - April 3, 2020 @ 9:00 am
Dear Members & Friends,
Important information concerning Irish Citizens trying to return home from Thailand with an ever decreasing availability of flights – see release below from Irish Embassy in Bangkok:
The Irish Government has been working closely with airlines and travel agencies to try and secure seats for Irish citizens looking to return to Ireland. We have been successful in securing a limited number of seats on Qatar Airways flights out of Bangkok to Dublin via Doha this week.
We have one flight departing Bangkok at 9.10pm on 2nd April.
We have one flight departing Bangkok at 2.10am on 3rd April.
The cost of these flights is EUR 1,640 per person. Child tickets are 75% of the full price ticket and Infant tickets are 10% of the full priced ticket.
If you are interested in availing of one of these seats, please immediately email covid19@hannontravel.com to try and secure a booking.
As the number of seats is limited we regret that not everyone interested may be able to secure a seat.
Hannon Travel will confirm with you directly if your booking has been successful and will reply to you with information on payment.
If you are not currently in Bangkok, you will need to be able to confirm that you are in a position to travel inter-state to connect to these flights.
We are very conscious that the cost of these flights may be outside the price range of some people.
We will continue to work with like-minded partners (EU and UK) to explore further options for repatriation flights for citizens.
Please bear in mind however that these flights will likewise not be free, and can cost more than commercial options.
Thanks and keep safe,
SPS Bangkok
