St. Patrick’s Society are honoured to support the great work that Sister Louise and her team do at the Fatima Centre & Children of the Good Shepherd in Bangkok. In association with Lawton Asia, we handed over a total of 365,000 THB (approx $12,000 USD) to Sr. Louise and her team, funds that were raised at our Turkey Trot Charity Golf Day. Pictured handing the donation over are Robert Dagger (President), Kevin Machugh (Golf Convener), Daragh Connolly (Secretary / Treasurer), Sean McGinnity (Account Executive with Lawton Asia) & Sister Louise from the Fatima Centre.
The Children of the Good Shepherd / Fatima Centre:
The Fatima Centre of the Good Shepherd Sisters of Thailand is a non-profit organization dedicated to developing the quality of life of all those in need regardless of their religious affiliation. Under the expert direction of those whose sole concern is the welfare of others the Fatima Centre provides opportunities for women and young girls at risk in the community and to break out of the unending cycle of poverty.
Compassionate and healing relationships are integral to our mission. Our specific focus is towards the human, social and spiritual development of women and girls. We work in direct service projects with women, children and families to empower, enhance dignity, support self-sufficiency, and build esteem in those who have been excluded from the benefits of society
